If you let me I could, I'd show you how to build your fences	Sunday, January 30, 2011, 12:17 AM something that happened in school Nothing to write, as per usual. So i have decided to follow what many fellow classmates of mine have done and describe what happened on Friday. So let me paint a picture for you, it was English class, recess just ended so we were chatting away about what transpired. Around half an hour in, my friend Jarryl and I were disturbed in our usual football related discussion by a small jingle, followed by a loud whooping. It turns out that a phone had rang!(our school bans us from turning on our phones) This usually was serious but still not that much as to warrant such excitement. Sure enough the ringing phone belonged to someone called Jing Yuan. That guy is second in class in all academic aspects. Never has he been in any trouble before. Also he is that kind of person who sucks up to teachers, so it was a huge surprise when we discovered it was his phone that rang! What happened next was even more shocking our teacher did NOT even make an effort to investigate, let alone confiscate the phone!!! I absolutely hate it when a teacher thinks that if a student gets good grades he is so much better than the rest of us and he can get away with anything he does! Just my luck that the majority of teachers feel that way. What was good luck though, was that none of my classmates, be it friends or enemies, felt that way. United as one, we voiced our fury at this outrageous injustice. How could a grade on a piece of paper determine that he was above the law!? Everyone felt a sense of betrayal. We protested with our angry cries, as the guilty bowed his head. The whole class was together now, and the only thing that could stop us was that our teacher conducted a fair trial. Later, one of my friends would post in another blog how he marveled at how united we were, and it was true. Finally, our teacher took a look. Tension was in the air. Then my teacher took the phone. IT WAS ON!!! Our teacher confiscated it, impervious to the excuses from Jing Yuan flying thick and fast. I later learnt from a friends blog that Jing Yuan had originally said that he received the call from a telemarketer then stated that he was called by someone in class in a deliberate attempt to sabotage him. What a futile(not to mention pathetic) attempt to deflect the blame onto some innocent. That said I hope Jing Yuan will not have too heavy a punishment, as many of us in class know first hand. I also hope that in the future, teachers may treat us fairly, regardless of grades. But even if we cannot reach that, I know that my class and I will rally together in times of need to repel the cruel hand of injustice.		thedeceptionist Vanity isn't a sin, a little narcissm wouldn't hurt.
